Sardine Spaghetti


PREP TIME 10 minutes
COOK TIME 30 minutes


1 brown onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
Pukara olive oil
300g Barilla spaghetti
6 sardines, roughly chopped
1 tbsp fish sauce
100ml white wine
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 ½ cups tomato passata


Step 1
Place garlic and onion into a hot oiled pan and cook until at a soft consistency.

Step 2
Place pasta into a pot of boiling water and leave until cooked.

Step 3
Once garlic and onion are at a soft consistency, add sardines, fish sauce and white wine and reduce by half.

Step 4
Once reduced by half, add chilli flakes and tomato passata before leaving to simmer for approx 2-3 minutes.

Step 5
After approx 2-3 minutes, remove pan from heat and add pasta before stirring together and serving with a pinch of chilli flakes over the top.
