Pukara olive oil
1 brown onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 red chilli, deseeded + finely chopped
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 packet Old El Paso burrito spice mix
500g beef mince
300g Ashgrove jalapeño havarti cheese
½ tbsp Tasman sea salt
½ bunch coriander, chopped
5 brioche buns, lightly toasted
1 cos lettuce
Add beef mince, chilli, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, garlic, burrito spice mix, salt, and coriander to a bowl and massage together well until fully combined.
Once fully combined, roll meat into even sized patties before placing onto a hot plate with onion and leaving to cook for approx 2-3 minutes on 1 side and until onion is soft.
After approx 2-3 minutes, turn patties over and place cheese on top before cooking for a further 2-3 minutes until cheese has melted.
Once cooked, serve patties, onion and lettuce in a brioche bun.
