Pork Buns


PREP TIME 10 minutes
COOK TIME 3 hours 10 minutes


400g Four Roses plain flour
1 ½ tsp dried yeast
2 ½ tbsp white sugar
250ml warm water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
250g bbq pork
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp light soy sauce
3 tsp Shaoxing rice wine
3 tsp white sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder


Step 1
Add flour, yeast, sugar, water and vegetable oil to a stand mixer and fold together well before placing into a bowl and leaving for approx 2-3 hours to rise.

Step 2
Add pork to a pan with vegetable oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, shaoxing rice wine and white sugar before stirring together until cooked.

Step 3
Once dough has risen, stir through baking powder and divide into small flat 10cm circles.

Step 4
Once rolled out, place a spoonful of filling onto each circle, roll up and squeeze the top and place into a steamer lined with baking paper for approx 15 minutes until cooked.
